Handmade pillow made from Guatemalan textiles. This textile is from the municipality of Santa Maria de Jesus in the department of Sacatepequez. This is from a huipil (a traditional blouse) that was handwoven on a backstrap loom, decorated with brocade diamond patterns. Mayan diamonds symbolize the arms of the weaver.
Backing is an ivory linen and rayon blend with invisible zipper closure.
The interior of pillow is interfaced to protect the textiles.
