Over the last ten years, I have been collecting textiles while on medical missions in San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala. The first time I saw these gorgeous Guatemalan textiles, I was left in awe of their beauty and quality. Most of the fabrics are done with the weaving techniques of the back-strap, treadle or the foot loom. The Maya artisans produce weavings to sell in order to support their families and educate their children.
Pillows by Jane was born out of the motivation to give these Maya weavers a larger and more profitable marketplace.
We craft pillows from these hand-woven textiles to help you add a little more color to your living space!
"A genuine treasure in handcrafted artistry. Huipil from around 1990 testifies to the quality of colors and fabrics used, durability and attention to detail of the women weavers from Santiago, Atitlan. A piece to be handed down to future generations."

"I now have 4 of the "Bella" pillows. When I saw these in person at a holiday market for the first time, I couldn't resist buying two that are 15" x 15". It's close to one year later and I have loved them so much I wanted more, so I got two of this size. They are gorgeous, extremely well made, and can fit with so many different types of decor. I am looking forward to getting a different beautiful style in the near future, but it will be hard to choose which one. Highly recommend!"

"My wife and I own several of the pillows. They've made a beautiful addition to our home and accent our furniture and wall art impeccably. Highly recommend for the quality as well as the amazing story behind them."
